SUPPORTING THE KARZAR GROUPS

U.S. imperialistic wars have bound up our fates with the women of Iraq and Afghanistan. On May 8, 2007, 2008, and 2009, I spoke at marches to support the Karzar groups of expatriate Iranian and Afghani women in Europe in their opposition to both U.S. imperialism and anti-women laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Carol’s Review:

Small easy-to-read book with short history of women in Iraq over the last 100 years, her brief memoir and a blistering account of how the US invasion is harming women and their children. A brilliant reporter, she leaves no doubt that the sooner the U.S. leaves Iraq to let the Iraqi people rebuild their society, the better.
